Saskatchewan Hamfest 2019 sponsored by the Saskatchewan Amateur Radio League and hosted by the Battlefords Amateur Radio Association , July 26 and July 27 at the Legion Hall in Battleford, Saskatchewan. See below for information on getting to the Hamfest this year.

Summer – VE5SDH (sk)

Hamfest 2013 in Battleford was the first Hamfest that Summer attended. During the short time that she was involved in amateur radio Summer left her mark. She was active in many areas of the hobby and always eager to get involved and do her part. She called many nets, especially on 2 meters and the IRLP. She will be especially remembered for how quickly and proficiently she learned CW.

We start Friday evening with a meet and greet. This will also be the time for early setup at the hall. We will all check in to the Friday Saskatchewan 2 Meter Linked Net, before winding things down for the evening. It will be a good time to relax and visit.

Hamfest starts Saturday morning at 8:30, with registration, the flea market and the official opening. There will be lots of door prizes, merchants in our community have been very generous with their donations. We will also have some silent auctions to add to the fun.

TGIF - Get an early start Friday night!

Last chance to "Pre-register" and get extra chances to win door prizes!

This years Hamfest will have a meet and greet Friday night, starting at 7 PM. - coffee and snacks available. This is a chance for those who come the day before to have a visit. If anyone wants to provide some entertainment you will be more than welcome. Vendors can also setup in advance. This will allow you more time to get a good night’s rest and be ready for the next day.

Tailgater Sellers - Welcome!

We have the opportunity for tailgate venders to set up in the backyard which is fenced on three sides. Tailgaters must provide their own tables, shelter or whatever they need for their setup. The tailgate of your truck or van may be all you need. There is a door going to the backyard for easy access.

Please plan to take in the whole day, a lot of work and planning go into a Hamfest. Your full participation and involvement is part of making the event a success. Better still book a motel or campsite and make a holiday of the weekend. There are lots of things to do and see in the Battleford’s area.

We have the hall for the full day, so there is no problem with scheduling to go later in the day..
